Professor Sli Dawg’s
Laguna Beach Surf Camp
All surfing levels are welcome, no surf experience required. Students must be able to swim. Youth, ages 10 + up will be offered basic - advanced surf instruction in a series of fun, progressive wave riding exercises on the beach and in the water. Students will be taught safety tips, surfing etiquette and ocean-awareness skills. Our method of instruction will allow students to build confidence and proficiency at their own pace.
Pro surfer Steven “Sli Dawg” Chew and all-star cast of professional surf instructors go above and beyond to teach even the most timid child how to effectively conquer the ol’ toes-on-the-nose.
Sli Dawg and team are fantastic with the kids. They are able to ease kids through the often intimidating thought of surfing with fun, progressive wave riding exercises (first on the beach) and help them get their first start with soft-top surfboards for better safety and easy ridability. Since the ocean is our playground, Sli Dawg and his team also educate the kids in ocean & beach preservation and coastal biology with guest teachers from the Surfrider Foundation. Some of the world’s top professional skimboarders also drop in to help Sli Dawg’s brood with safety tips and beginner lessons on skimboarding. And, when Sli’s pro surfer buddies show up unannounced, the kids are in for a great and memorable show.

Summer Surf Camp 2024

Summer is here and Professor Sli diggity Dawg is ready for the summer time surfin’ safari! All surfing levels are welcome, no surf experience required. Students must be able to swim. • Surfboard knowledge: popping up, standing, turning
• Wave knowledge: how to read the waves + paddling out

• Lunch is not included. Please send your child with a lunch or the staff walk the children to Wahoo’s, Adolfo’s, Gina’s Pizza to purchase lunch
• Friday FUN-day: All kids walk to Circle K with the staff for treats after lunch and receive a PACKED goodie bag thanks to our SPONSORS!
